Decorative lines transform rooms, referring to the decoration, the imagination, dreams, memories, fairytales, the contrast in materials and textures that enrich and identify homogeneity that is often exaggerated with a new personality. Elementary decorations, that become unique for the very fact that they are repeated, in different patterns, in the various ways they are arranged.
Luca Scacchetti, architect, teaches at the Politecnico in Milan, the European Institute of Design and the Accademia di Brera in Milan. From 1990 to 1995 he was the Director of the Department of Architecture at the European Institute of Design. He writes essays and articles on different topics concerning the history of architecture, architectural design methods, and the relationship between such methods and industrial design. He has also taken part in numerous congresses and conferences in Italy, Europe, the Middle East, East Asia and the United States. In 1978 he founded the Studio di Architettura Luca Scacchetti which brings together architects, town-planners, historians, structural engineers and designers. He designs and creates works in Italy and several other countries, including Japan, Spain, Greece, China, Kazakhstan and France. He also works in the world of design, working with Italian and European countries in the field of furniture, lighting and gift items.
